 Sheryl Moore, Beverly Campbell An evening of curling and fun will take place at the Hampton Curling Club on Friday, February 12, 2010, beginning at 7:00 p.m. A $30 entry fee will include chili, caesar salad and rolls, along with your curling. Members and non-members are welcome. You don’t curl and don’t want to give it a try? Then come along to cheer for your friends and join in the fun, for a $5.00 admission fee.
At the conclusion of the luncheon, President Beverly Campbell unveiled plans for the next HACC social event, a curling “Funspeil” on Friday, February 12, at the Hampton Curling Club.  Hampton Scouts, Cubs & Beavers The new decade got off to a friendly start at the Mayor’s Levee on New Years Day. HACC, represented by Life Member David Carr, was there to present the awards to the winning entries in the November 28 Santa Claus Parade.  Hampton Sea Cadets Members of the Hampton Scouts, Cubs and Beavers attended to accept the award for Best Youth Group Entry. The Hampton Sea Cadets accepted their award for Best Marching Unit.  Megan Harrison, Town of Hampton Town Clerk Megan Harrison, along with her family, accepted the award for Best Overall Entry on behalf of the Town of Hampton. The award for Best School Entry went to Hammond River Elementary School, and Best Commercial Entry was won by Hampton Pharmacy Ltd. These winners were not able to attend, therefore, the awards will be presented at a later date. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you from the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce for contributing so greatly to this year’s parade!

Despite dreadful weather, 22 hardy individuals attended the January Luncheon at Holly’s Restaurant on Wednesday, January 22nd. James Miller of Bell Aliant was this month’s speaker. James spoke about managed IT services that directly affect the end users of an organization.
The Eighth Annual Santa Claus Parade took place in Hampton on Saturday, November 28 at 4:00 in the afternoon. Despite soggy weather, the entrants all turned out to make the parade colourful and entertaining. The rain actually ceased as the parade began, making it much more enjoyable for the many viewers along Main Street. HACC thanks all participants and the many volunteers who helped once again this year to make the Hampton Santa Claus Parade a fun start to the holiday season.
