HACC regrets having to cancel the Curling “Funspeil” we had planned for Friday, February 12. Registrations fell just shy of the numbers required to make the evening a success. Our apologies to those who registered. Keep us in mind for next year. ![]() Sheryl Moore, Beverly Campbell An evening of curling and fun will take place at the Hampton Curling Club on Friday, February 12, 2010, beginning at 7:00 p.m. A $30 entry fee will include chili, caesar salad and rolls, along with your curling. Members and non-members are welcome. You don’t curl and don’t want to give it a try? Then come along to cheer for your friends and join in the fun, for a $5.00 admission fee.
At the conclusion of the luncheon, President Beverly Campbell unveiled plans for the next HACC social event, a curling “Funspeil” on Friday, February 12, at the Hampton Curling Club. ![]() Hampton Scouts, Cubs & Beavers The new decade got off to a friendly start at the Mayor’s Levee on New Years Day. HACC, represented by Life Member David Carr, was there to present the awards to the winning entries in the November 28 Santa Claus Parade. ![]() Hampton Sea Cadets Members of the Hampton Scouts, Cubs and Beavers attended to accept the award for Best Youth Group Entry. The Hampton Sea Cadets accepted their award for Best Marching Unit. ![]() Megan Harrison, Town of Hampton Town Clerk Megan Harrison, along with her family, accepted the award for Best Overall Entry on behalf of the Town of Hampton. The award for Best School Entry went to Hammond River Elementary School, and Best Commercial Entry was won by Hampton Pharmacy Ltd. These winners were not able to attend, therefore, the awards will be presented at a later date. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you from the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce for contributing so greatly to this year’s parade!
The award for Best School Entry this year goes to Hammond River Elementary School. Best Marching Unit was judged to be the Hampton Sea Cadets. Best Commercial Entry was awarded to Hampton Pharmasave. The Hampton Scouts, Cubs and Beavers won for the Best Youth Group Entry. and the Best Overall Entry was judged to be the Town of Hampton Gingerbread House. Awards will be presented at the Mayor’s Levee on New Years Day. Congratulations to all winners, and thanks to everyone who put time and effort into some great entries. The Hampton Santa Claus Parade would not be financially possible without the generosity of several donors. This year’s sponors were: Bamara Inn, Loughery Law Office, Lutz Longstaff, Dr. James Collings and The Town of Hampton. We are grateful to these benefactors whose monetary gifts allowed the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce to stage the 2009 parade for the enjoyment of the children of our community. |
